Training Schedule

Below is the training schedule I am trying to stick to. (I was exhausted just typing it all out). I will likely move days around throughout, but this give you an idea of the daily preparation I am currently experiencing.

24 WEEKS TOTAL

WEEK 1
Feb 15 – 2500M swim
Feb 16 – 1 mile run, 1.5 hr weight training
Feb 17 – 1.5 hr bike
Feb 18 – 1 mile run, 1.5 hr weight training
Feb 19 – 1700M swim
Feb 20 – 1.5 hr bike
Feb 21 – rest

WEEK 2
Feb 22 – 45 min bike, 1.5 hr weight training
Feb 23 – 1700M swim, 45 run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x4
Feb 24 – 1 hr bike, 1.5 hr weight training
Feb 25 – 1900M swim, 35 run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x4
Feb 26 – 45 min bike, 15 min run
Feb 27 – rest
Feb 28 – 1800M swim, 50 min steady run

WEEK 3
March 1 – 20/120 bike sprints x16, 1.5 hr weight training
March 2 – 1800M swim, 45 min run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x6
March 3 – 1 hr bike, 1.5 hr weight training
March 4 – 1900M swim, 35 min run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x6
March 5 – 1 hr 15 bike
March 6 – rest
March 7 – 2000M swim, 70 min steady run

WEEK 4 (recovery)
March 8 – 20/120 bike sprints x8, 1.5 hr weight training
March 9 – 1400M swim, 35 min run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x4
March 10 – 45 min bike, 1.5 hr weight training
March 11 – 1600M swim, 35 min run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x2
March 12 – 1.5 hr bike
March 13 – rest
March 14 – 1800M swim, 1 hr bike, 20 min run

WEEK 5
March 15 – bike hill climbs 8x, 1.5 hr weight training
March 16 – 2050M swim, 30 sec sprints/foundation run x6
March 17 – 1 hr 15 min bike, 1.5 hr weight training
March 18 – 2050M swim, 40 min run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x6
March 19 – rest (SXSW)
March 20 – rest (SXSW)
March 21 – 2 hr 45 min bike

WEEK 6
March 22 – bike hill climbs 9x, 1.5 hr weight training
March 23 – 2100M swim, 30 sec sprints/foundation run x8
March 24 – 1 hr 15 min bike, 1.5 hr weight training
March 25 – 2100M swim, 40 min run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x6
March 26 – 1 hr bike, 30 min run
March 27 – rest
March 28 – 2350M swim, 40 min run

WEEK 7
March 29 – bike hill climbs 10x, 1.5 hr weight training
March 30 – 2150M swim, 30 sec sprints/foundation run x8
March 31 – 1 hr 15 min bike, 1.5 hr weight training
April 1 – 2300M swim, 40 min run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x6
April 2 – rest
April 3 – 3 hr bike
April 4 – 2400M swim, 1.5 hr run

WEEK 8 (recovery)
April 5 – bike hill climbs 8x, 1.5 hr weight training
April 6 – 1700M swim, 30 sec sprints/foundation run x6
April 7 – 1 hr recovery bike, 1.5 hr weight training
April 8 – 1700M swim, 40 min recovery run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x2
April 9 – rest

April 11 – 2200M swim, 1 hr bike, 30 min run

WEEK 9
April 12 – bike 1 min hard/2 min recovery 6x, 1.5 hr weight training
April 13 – 2200M swim, run 1 min hill/2 min recovery 8x
April 14 – 1.5 hr bike, 1.5 hr weight training
April 15 – 2200M swim, 45 min run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x6
April 16 – rest
April 17 – 3.5 hr bike
April 18 – 2800M swim, 1 hr 50 min run

WEEK 10
April 19 – bike 1.5 min hard/3 min recovery 7x, 1.5 hr weight training
April 20 – 2300M swim, run 1 min hill/2 min recovery 8x
April 21 – 1.5 hr bike, 1.5 hr weight training.
April 22 – 2400M swim, 45 min run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x6
April 23 – rest
April 24 – 1.5 hr bike, 30 min run
April 25 – 3000M swim, 50 min run

WEEK 11
April 26 – bike 1.5 min hard/3 min recovery 8x, 1.5 hr weight training
April 27 – 2400M swim, run 1 min hill/2 min recovery 9x
April 28 – 1.5 hr bike, 1.5 hr weight training
April 29 – 2400M swim, 45 min run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x6
April 30 – rest
May 1 – 3 hr 45 min bike
May 2 – 2700M swim, 2 hr run

WEEK 12 (recovery)
May 3 – bike 1 min hard/2 min recovery 8x, 1.5 hr weight training
May 4 – 1700M swim, run 1 min hill/2 min recovery 6x
May 5 – 1 hr bike, 1.5 hr weight training
May 6 – 1800M swim, 40 min run, 20 sec sprints/40 sec recovery x2

May 8 – 1 hr 45 min bike

WEEK 13
May 10 – 1.5 hr weight training, run/sprint intervals for 36 min
May 11 – 2400M swim, 1.25 hr bike w/ 5 min hill climbs
May 12 – 1.5 hr weight training, 1.25 bike/20 min run
May 13 – 2400M swim, 1.25 hr bike
May 14 – rest
May 15 – 4 hr bike, 35 min run
May 16 – 2900 swim, 2 hr run

WEEK 14
May 17 – 1.5 hr weight training, 40 min sprint intervals
May 18 – 2400M swim, 1 hr 20 min bike w 3/3 push/recovery
May 19 – 1.5 hr weight training, 1.75 hr bike, 55 min run
May 20 – 2400 M swim, 1.25 hr bike
May 21 – rest
May 22 – 1.75 hr bike, 50 min run
May 23 – 3100M swim, 55 min run

WEEK 15
May 24 – 1.5 hr weight training, 44 min run intervals
May 25 – 2400M swim, 1.25 hr bike climbs
May 26 – 1.5 hr weight training, 1.25 hr bike / 30 min run
May 27 – 2400M swim, 1.5 hr bike
May 28 – rest
May 29 – 4.5 hr bike, 35 min run, Kendall’s birthday
May 30 – 3200M swim, 2 hr 20 min run

WEEK 16 (recovery)
May 31 – Bolder Boulder 10K
June 1 – 1800M swim, 1.25 bike intervals
June 2 – 1.5 hr weight training, 1.25 hr bike, 45 min run
June 3 – 1800M swim, 1 hr bike, Tom Petty at Red Rocks
June 4 – rest
June 5 – 2 hr bike / 50 min run
June 6 – 2100M swim, 55 min run

WEEK 17
June 7 – 1.5 hr weight training, 18 min threshold run
June 8 – 2700M swim, 1.5 hr bike intervals
June 9 – 1.5 hr weight training, 1.5 hr bike, 30 min run
June 10 – 2700M swim, 1 hr 10 min bike
June 11 – rest
June 12 – 5 hr bike, 35 min run, U2 at Invesco
June 13 – 3300M swim, 2hr 20 min run

WEEK 18
June 14 – 1.5 hr weight training, 20 min threshold run
June 15 – 2700M swim, 1.5 hr bike intervals
June 16 – 1.5 hr weight training, 1.75 hr bike, 55 min run
June 17 – 2700M swim, 1.25 bike
June 18 – rest
June 19 – 3600M swim, 1 hr run
June 20 – Denver Century Ride (100 miles)

WEEK 19
June 21 – 1.5 hr weight training, 22 min threshold run
June 22 – 2700M swim, 1.75 bike intervals
June 23 – 1.5 hr weight training, 1.25 bike / 30 min run
June 24 – 2700M swim, 1.75 hr bike
June 25 – rest
June 26 – 7 hr bike between bars for Cruiser Rocks Sixx
June 27 – 3700M swim, 2.5 hr run

WEEK 20 (recovery)
June 28 – 1.5 hr weight training, 20 min threshold run
June 29 – 1800M swim, 1.25 hr bike intervals
June 30 – 1.5 hr weight training, 1.25 hr bike, 45 min run
July 1 – 1800M swim, 1 hr bike
July 2 – rest
July 3 – 3 hr bike / 1 hr run
July 4 – 2200M swim, 50 min run

WEEK 21
July 5 – 1.5 hr weight training, 28 min threshold run
July 6 – 2900M swim, 1.75 hrs bike intervals
July 7 – 1.5 hr weight training, 1.5 hr bike / 30 min run
July 8 – 2900M swim, 1.5 hr bike
July 9 – rest
July 10 – 5.5 hr bike, 40 min run
July 11 – 3900M swim, 2 hr 40 min run (Boulder Peak Triathlon??)

WEEK 22
July 12 – 1.5 hr weight training, 30 min threshold run
July 13 – 2900M swim, 2 hr bike intervals
July 14 – 1.5 hr weight training, 2 hr bike, 1 hr run
July 15 – 2900M swim, 1.75 hr bike
July 16 – rest
July 17 – 3 hr bike / 1 hr run, Dead Weather at Ogden
July 18 – 4600M swim, 55 min run

WEEK 23 (begin taper)
July 19 – 1.5 hr weight training, 28 min run intervals
July 20 – 2700M swim, 1 hr 50 min bike intervals
July 21 – 1.5 hr weight training, 1 hr bike / 20 min run
July 22 – 2400M swim, 1.25 hr bike
July 23 – rest
July 24 – 2.5 hr bike, 35 min run
July 25 – 3100M swim, 1 hr 20 min run

WEEK 24
July 26 – 1.5 hr weight training, 16 min threshold run
July 27 – 1900M swim, 1 hr bike intervals
July 28 -  1.5 hr weight training, 1 hr bike, 30 min run + 6 20 sec sprints
July 29 – Travel to Sonoma, run at sea level
July 30 – Rest – Aden’s 40th birthday!
July 31 – IRONMAN
August 1 – recovery
August 2 – Travel back to Denver
